Free YouTube Transcript provides a free web-based tool that extracts transcripts from YouTube videos using YouTube's official Caption API. The Service allows users to:

• Extract existing captions and subtitles from public YouTube videos
• Download transcripts in multiple formats (TXT, SRT, VTT)
• Access transcripts in 120+ languages (where available on YouTube)

Important: We extract existing captions from YouTube. We do NOT generate, create, or produce transcripts for videos that don't have captions.

3. User Obligations

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to access or extract data beyond what the Service is designed to provide
• Not abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Service
• Not use automated scripts or bots to extract transcripts at scale without permission
• Respect YouTube's Terms of Service and the intellectual property rights of video creators
• Not use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Service Content

The Service (including its design, code, and functionality) is owned by Free YouTube Transcript and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without our permission.

4.2 YouTube Content

Transcripts extracted through our Service belong to the original video creators and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service. We do not claim ownership of any extracted transcripts. You are responsible for ensuring your use of extracted transcripts complies with copyright law and YouTube's policies.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of extracted transcripts. Transcripts are provided by YouTube's caption system.
• Availability: We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors, interruptions, or delays.
• Fitness for Purpose: We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FREE YOUTUBE TRANSCRIPT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on YouTube's API to extract transcripts. By using our Service, you also agree to:

We are not responsible for any changes, interruptions, or discontinuation of YouTube's API or services.

8. Rate Limiting and Abuse

We reserve the right to implement rate limiting or temporarily restrict access to users who abuse the Service through excessive automated requests, spam, or other disruptive behavior. Repeated abuse may result in permanent blocking.

9. Changes to Service
